Overview:

The Children’s Learning Institute’s mission us to advance learning and health outcomes for all children through research, resource development, clinical programs, and service delivery.

Currently, as the User Experience Designer/Researcher at the Children’s Learning Institute under UT Health Houston, I have worked on several public and internal tools tasked to redesign various products under the company. I collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business analysts on a daily basis. The goal of my role is to improve the functionality of our products to help support users get their work done and improve their effectiveness toward child outcomes.

Overview

Some of my accomplishments:

  • Led UX design and research for the CLI Engage platform, utilizing Agile methodologies and Scrum, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver user-centered tools that improved engagement and satisfaction for educators and parents in early childhood education.

  • Implemented human-centered design principles to ensure the platform’s accessibility for diverse user groups, including educators with varying levels of technical proficiency and parents managing young children’s educational progress.

  • Conducted user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions with educators driving significant improvements by 20% in usability and user satisfaction.
